1.T&C's - How do licences work (Support, Updates, Renewals, Refunds)

  • LICENCES
    All extensions and gateways – unless specified otherwise – are available as single, 2-5 or unlimited domain licences. A single domain licence can only be used on one single domain. If you would like to use the extension(s) on more than one domain, please purchase the relevant multidomain licence (2-5 or unlimited). Please contact me if you should have any questions.
  • MULTISITE/NETWORK SETUPS
    Strictly speaking, WordPress multisite/network setups consist of more than one website, therefore an “up to 5” or “unlimited” (i.e multisite) licence would be required to use an extension/gateway on this kind of install.
    I am aware though, that there may be certain scenarios where you might need two independent subsites for one restaurant to make a specific set-up work, in which case I have no problem if you were to use a single site licence.

    However, if you are using a multisite set-up because you are acting as a broker and/or delivery service for different restaurants or for a chain – or branches – of restaurants in different locations (i.e 2 or more), a multisite licence will be required.

    Furthermore, if you purchased a single site licence but at some point decide to upgrade to a multisite licence (up to 5 or unlimited for example) you can easily do so from your “my account” page. Upgrade prices will be cost of the licence you wish to upgrade to minus the cost of your current licence. However, to be able to upgrade your current licence must not have yet expired.

  • SUPPORT SERVICES
    Support for purchased extensions/gateways is given up to one year after the purchase date. Priority support is given for the first 30 days after purchase. If you wish to receive support after your licence has expired, you must purchase another licence or extend the current licence for the extension/plugin you wish to get support for.

    To receive support, ensure to have installed the most recent version of the extension/plugin you require help with (alongside the most recent version of the main WPPizza plugin). Support will not be avilable to outdated/out-of-date plugins/extensions or if the core files of plugins/extensions have been edited.

    (There are many filters and action hooks included in any WPPizza plugins to alter their behaviour as needed without having to edit any files directly – refer to the documentation for details. If in doubt, please just ask. ).

    Please Note: Support extends to the functionality of the plugin(s) only – and of course if there are any issues you might have regarding said functionality.
    I cannot offer support for the basics of webdesign such as styling/editing css or indeed writing some php or html, nor do I offer any kind of customisation.
    However, the FAQ’s – in particular “Customising The Css”, “Code Snippets” or indeed a simple search here or on the support forum might provide some ideas or even answers to your particular requirements)

  • UPDATES
    Updates are included for free for one year unless specifically stated otherwise. If you have a valid and active licence key, and your extension(s) supports it – make sure you enter and activate your licence in the plugin in question – updates will be delivered automatically from the WordPress dashboard. Plugin/Extension updates can also be downloaded from your account page.

    For the avoidance of doubt: extensions/plugins will not “self-destruct” or not function anymore after your licence has expired, so you can use the software(s) as long as you like. All that happens is that – after the expiry date – you will not receive any updates or support anymore without renewing your licence.

    However, please be aware that due to the nature of software updates (such as WordPress, WordPress plugins, server software – php and the like), it is likely that extensions/gateways will eventually stop working due to updates within WordPress or related software(s). Therefore it is highly recommended – though optional – that you renew your licence(s) to keep your software(s) up-to-date.

  • LICENCE RENEWALS
    Licence renewals are -30% off the price applicable at time of renewal (-40% for payment gateways). However, please note that there are no renewal discounts for “Access Passes” To renew your licence, add the item you wish to renew into your cart, go to checkout click on “Click to renew an existing licence” , enter your licence key , click on “Apply Licence Renewal” and carry on as normal.
    Alternatively – login/go to your account here, click on “View Licences” for the relevant purchase and choose “Renew Licence” (expired licences) or “Extend Licence” (licences that have not yet expired).

    Products (Extensions/Gateways/Access Passes) that support recurring payments (currently this is only the case for the “One Year Access Pass”) will automatically renew at the end of the licencing term unless specifically cancelled (which you can do at any time)

    If your plugin/extension/gateway did not come with a licence key when you bought it (this really only applies to very old versions), contact me including the purchase receipt you will have received at the time of said purchase to be able to generate a licence key for you.

  • SUBSCRIPTIONS & AUTOMATIC RENEWALS | RECURRING PAYMENTS

    (Currently only applies to “1 Year Access Passes”)

    “1 Year Access Passes” are sold as automatically recurring subscriptions that renew each year on the anniversary of the purchase date.

    This subscription will automatically renew at the end of the annual licence term unless you cancel your subscription prior to the automatic renewal date.

    Please note the following details of “1 Year Access Passes” licence subscriptions:
    • Subscription renewals are automatically processed annually on the anniversary of your original purchase.
    • The licence renewal will continue and remain valid for each one (1) year unless the subscription is cancelled prior to the renewal date.
    • You may cancel your subscription at any time from the “My Account” page on the wp-pizza.com website.
    • If you choose to cancel your subscription you will no longer receive updates and support when your licence expires.
    • Renewal prices will be the full price as published at the time of initial purchase.
    Grandfathered pricing:
    • If you choose to cancel your subscription, and your renewal price is lower than the current listed price for the extension licence (a “grandfathered” price), the lower renewal price will no longer be available to you.
    • If you choose to renew your subscription after it has been cancelled and your licence has expired, you will be charged the current listed price for the licence. Older or grandfathered pricing will not be applied to new renewal purchases.
    • No refunds will be granted on renewal payments. An email will be sent to you 2 weeks prior to your renewal date, and you may use this opportunity to cancel your subscription before the renewal payment is automatically processed
    • If you choose to cancel your subscription your licence will expire on the anniversary of the original purchase, and you will no longer receive updates and support.
  • UPGRADES
    If you have purchased a single site licence but wish to upgrade to a 5 site or unlimited site licence at a later date (or from 5 site to unlimited), log into your account, click on “view licences” -> “view upgrades” -> “upgrade licence” as required.
    Upgrade prices are “Pro Rata” (i.e the difference between your current and the upgrade you would like to purchase)

    If you do not have these options / links in your account, contact me by email (dev[at]wp-pizza.com) including your current licence key and I will send you a discount code in return that will refund/discount the difference between your current and the to be upgraded licence when purchasing the upgrade.

  • REFUNDS
    If you have problems getting extensions/gateways to work, I will be happy to provide a full refund within 30 days of the original purchase. After 30 days, no refunds will be given. Before a refund will be granted, please allow me to try and help solve any problem you have by contacting me or leaving a message in the appropriate support forum.

    Refunds will NOT be given if you simply decide not to use the purchased products . I stand behind my products and will assist you in solving any problem you might have related to wppizza plugins/extensions/gateways , but I also expect you to adequately understand what you are purchasing and why. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE COMPATIBILITY SECTION BELOW

    Please note: “Access Passes” are not eligible for refunds in any event.

  • YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
    By downloading any extension/plugin you expressly waive your right to cancel the purchase.
  • COMPATIBILITY
    For the avoidance of doubt, all gateways/plugins/extensions purchasable at wp-pizza.com are only compatible with and add functionality to the WordPress WPPizza plugin, assuming the requirements stated for each gateway/plugin/extension have been met.
    Although they do not interfere with the working of other 3rd party plugins – such as Woocommerce, Easy Digital Downloads , Jigoshop for example (or any other plugin for that matter) – they will NOT add their stated functionality to those 3rd party plugins. (please also refer to this link )
